Hi, I'd love to get some suggestions for where to stay on a three day trip from SFO to LA in mid September, stopping at Big Sur the first night (Friday) and Santa Barbara the third night (Sunday), but have discovered that San Luis Obispo is fully booked for the second night (Saturday). Just looking for cheap and cheerful really.After the Big Sur drive it’s highly recommended you stay in a San Luis Obispo beach town. Cambria, Morro Bay , Avila Beach or Pismo Beach. The drive to San Diego is still a very far distance and a lot of traffic, but it can be done. It just won’t be a ton of fun because you’ll miss a lot.
