Just looking for cheap and cheerful really.After the Big Sur drive it’s highly recommended you stay in a San Luis Obispo beach town. Cambria, Morro Bay , Avila Beach or Pismo Beach. The drive to San Diego is still a very far distance and a lot of traffic, but it can be done. It just won’t be a ton of fun because you’ll miss a lot.
